Studio Policies & Terms

Refunds & Returns

All Sales Are Final on Custom Details Due to the personalized nature of our work, we cannot accept returns or exchanges on decorated items unless there is a manufacturer defect or a production error on our part.

Reporting Issues Clients must inspect all goods upon receipt. Any defects, misprints, or errors must be reported within 72 hours of delivery. Please email photos of the issue to our support team. After this window, we consider the order accepted and complete.

What Qualifies for a Refund/Reprint:

  • Manufacturer defects (e.g., holes in the garment, broken zippers).
  • Incorrect decoration (e.g., wrong thread color used vs. approved proof, spelling error by us).

What Does NOT Qualify:

  • Incorrect sizing ordered by the customer.
  • Buyer's remorse.
  • Design errors present in the approved mock-up (please check your proofs carefully!).

Customer Supplied Garments

We are happy to decorate garments you provide; however, we cannot guarantee the results on items we do not source ourselves.

Liability Release Fauquier Stitch Studio accepts no liability for damage to customer-supplied items. Custom embroidery and printing are industrial processes; machines can occasionally snag, burn, or oil-stain a specific garment.

  • Spoilage Allowance: We require a standard industry spoilage allowance of 2% per order (minimum 1 piece). If a mistake occurs within this allowance, we will not replace the cost of the garment.
  • If an item is irreplaceable or has high sentimental value, we strongly recommend not embroidering it.

Cancellations & Changes

Cancellation Window Orders may be cancelled only if production has not begun.

  • Before Goods Ordered: Full refund less any artwork/digitizing fees already incurred.
  • After Goods Ordered: A 20% restocking fee will be applied to cover vendor return costs, plus shipping fees to return blanks to the warehouse.
  • After 24 Hours: Digitizing fees (-) are typically non-refundable once the file has been created.

Rush Orders Rush fees are strictly non-refundable once the schedule has been blocked off for your project.

Production Standards

Color Matching We strive to match Pantone (PMS) colors as closely as possible using standard thread and ink colors. However, exact color matching cannot be guaranteed due to material variations. An "Industry Commercial Match" is considered acceptable.

Placement Tolerance Every item is hand-loaded onto our machines. Please allow for a placement tolerance of up to 1 inch in any direction. Variations of this magnitude are standard in the custom apparel industry and are not considered defects.
